Radiology with Mammo focus needed in Alaska
Job description
Specialty: Diagnostic Radiology – Mammography Focus
Minimum Availability: 1–2 weeks per month
Opportunity
A leading healthcare system in Alaska is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Radiologist with a strong Mammography focus to join its collaborative team of 14 radiologists. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a well-supported, high-volume breast imaging program while also contributing to general diagnostic radiology.
The ideal candidate will have recent mammography experience and be comfortable interpreting general radiology studies, including cross-sectional imaging and ultrasound.
Schedule & VolumeMammography
20–30 screening mammograms per day
5–8 diagnostic mammograms with ultrasound
2–3 breast procedures daily
General Radiology
When available, providers may assist with general diagnostic radiology, including:
Approximately 60 studies per day
50% cross-sectional imaging
50% plain film radiology
Qualifications Required:
Completion of an ACGME or AOA-accredited Radiology Residency
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology
Current state medical license (or eligibility)
Strong recent Mammography experience
Ability to interpret cross-sectional imaging and ultrasound studies
Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
