About the facility

This inpatient facility is seeking locum tenens psychiatrist coverage to meet the clinical needs of its adult patient population on an ongoing basis. The facility maintains a multidisciplinary support team that includes 5 physicians, 3 PMHNPs, 6 NPs, a mental health technician, and an RN to facilitate continuity of inpatient psychiatric care. Clinical operations are structured to deliver inpatient psychiatric services on a full-time, day shift basis within an on-site environment.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians in this role will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services for an adult population, working Monday through Friday during day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week on-site. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management for adults presenting with major depression, anxiety, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders, with an average length of stay of 9 days. Call coverage is negotiable for this assignment. An active state medical license or Letter of Qualification (LOQ) is required, board certification is preferred, and prescriptive authority is required for all clinicians considered for this position.
