Schedule

* 5–7 inpatient shifts per month
* 12–19 outpatient clinic days per month
* Occasional nighttime call
* Weekends approximately once per quarter for inpatient telehealth; may be remote for providers residing in Washington
* Clinic: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with 1-hour lunch
* Inpatient/Clinic split days:

* 8:00 AM–12:00 PM inpatient
* 12:00 PM–1:00 PM lunch
* 1:00 PM–5:00 PM clinic
* Occasional 7:30 AM start if court attendance is required

Position Details

* Coverage needed due to current locums provider not extending.
* Inpatient and outpatient locations are approximately 5 minutes apart.
* Both hospital and clinic privileges are required.
* Inpatient responsibilities include rounding, admissions, and discharges.
* Average inpatient census: 5–7 patients, with occasional new admissions and primarily follow-up care.
* Clinic patients are primarily follow-ups.
* Average total patient volume: 12–14 patients per day.
* Clinic visit times:

* New patients: 90 minutes
* Transfers: 60 minutes
* Follow-ups: 30 minutes
* No overflow or overbooking of Behavioral Health patients.
* Hospital bed size: 126
* Provider will have support from a psych hospitalist on the floor from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and an experienced NP.
* No required procedures.

Requirements

* MD/DO
* Behavioral Health/Psychiatry experience
* BLS
* Epic experience preferred
* Must be able to obtain both hospital and clinic privileges.
* WA license preferred.
* IMLC candidates may be considered if they have an LOQ and can commit to applying immediately.
* Due to the 11/30 start date and credentialing timeline, candidates requiring urgent credentialing must have their WA license in hand.

Credentialing

* Standard credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days
* Clinical activity documentation required: Case list demonstrating at least 100 patients/services representative of the requested privileges within the past 24 months, including diagnosis/procedure, date, and facility.
