Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to our nation’s Veterans at CAVHCS in Tuskegee, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians who value mission-driven medicine, collaborative practice, and a structured federal healthcare environment. You will join a professional care team focused on improving access, outcomes, and continuity of behavioral health services for Veterans.

The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive on-site psychiatric services in accordance with Veterans Health Administration standards. The role requires strong clinical judgment, technical proficiency, and adherence to VA policies and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for Veteran patients
• Deliver evidence-based medication management and therapeutic interventions • Document care accurately in the VA electronic health record (EHR)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
• Comply with all VHA directives, clinical privileges, and facility bylaws
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
• Maintain timely communication of test results and care plans
Required Qualifications:
• Current, full, unrestricted physician license in any U.S. state or territory
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Current BLS and ACLS (or equivalent)
• Active DEA registration
• National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $200 – $225 Per Hour

• VA credentialing and privileging approval
• Required VA mandatory trainings (annual and biennial)
• Occupational health and immunization clearance
• Background screening and security requirements
• E-Verify and federal compliance standards
