This position requires strong knowledge of CCBHC and CMHC requirements, Kansas Medicaid systems, and behavioral health service delivery. The Executive Director will provide collaborative, mission-driven leadership committed to accessible, recovery-oriented, person-centered, and trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership, working closely with the Board of Directors to advance organizational priorities.

Oversee clinical programs, financial management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance with CCBHC and CMHC standards.

Recruit, develop, and retain clinical and administrative leadership while fostering a positive, accountable workplace culture.

Build relationships with county governments, healthcare providers, community organizations, and regional stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, collaborative leader with expertise in community behavioral health operations, financial management, staff development, and organizational leadership. A master's degree in social work, psychology, public health, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field and a minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health, community mental health, or human services administration are required. Knowledge of CCBHC certification, CMHC licensing, Kansas Medicaid, and KanCare operations is expected. Kansas mental health professional licensure (LSCSW, LCPC, or equivalent) is strongly preferred, along with experience in Prospective Payment System (PPS) financial modeling, cost reporting, and behavioral health billing.
