Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide outpatient psychiatric care to adults with a variety of behavioral health conditions.

This opportunity is ideal for a provider who is confident practicing independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Candidates must have established outpatient psychiatric experience and the ability to independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage complex psychiatric patients.

This position is not suitable for new graduates or providers requiring extensive mentorship.

Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management follow-ups.

* Diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric conditions.

* Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe appropriate medications.

* Perform suicide risk assessments and other clinical evaluations.

* Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.

* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

* Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.

* Deliver high-quality, patient-centered outpatient psychiatric care.

Required Qualifications

* Minimum 3 years of independent psychiatric practice as a PMHNP.

* Active, unrestricted California NP license.

* Current DEA registration.

* Established outpatient psychiatric experience.

* Ability to independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage psychiatric patients.

* Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.

Patient Population & Clinical Focus

Adult patients presenting with a variety of behavioral health conditions, including:

* Mood and anxiety disorders

* Complex psychiatric conditions with medical comorbidities

* Chronic pain and functional impairment-related behavioral health concerns

* Trauma-related and other complex psychiatric conditions

Ideal Candidate

* Confident practicing with a high degree of clinical autonomy.

* Experienced in managing complex psychiatric and trauma-related cases.

* Comfortable collaborating within a multidisciplinary care model.

* Committed to improving long-term patient outcomes.

* Interested in an outpatient setting focused on quality of care rather than high patient volume.

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days.
