Facility:
This inpatient rehabilitation hospital is attached to a major regional medical center and serves as a comprehensive rehabilitation facility with a maximum census of 33 inpatient rehab beds. The facility features a robust interdisciplinary team environment with strong APP support and an active consultation service.

Physician - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Job Details:

• Inpatient rehabilitation setting with a maximum census of 33 inpatient rehab patients
• Supervise 3-4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as part of daily responsibilities
• Work within an interdisciplinary team with a majority of patients presenting with neurologic diagnoses including stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI)
• Expected to lead team conferences as part of the care coordination process
• Manage a robust consultation service consisting of 25-40 patients
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 0700-1530 with no weekend or outpatient responsibilities
• Approximately 30 patient encounters per shift
• Medical management skills required; pain management experience (excluding injections) preferred
• BLS certification required
• Active North Carolina medical license required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
