Job Description
An established healthcare system in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Otolaryngologist (ENT) for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity. This position offers a balanced combination of outpatient clinic, surgical center responsibilities, inpatient consultations, and shared call coverage.

The provider will primarily care for pediatric ENT patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across clinic and hospital settings. Responsibilities include evaluating patients with routine and complex pediatric otolaryngologic conditions, performing surgical procedures, managing emergency consultations, and evaluating NICU airway cases. The practice utilizes Epic EMR and offers a structured monthly schedule ideal for physicians seeking recurring locum assignments.

Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric ENT care
Perform pediatric otolaryngology surgical procedures
Evaluate and manage inpatient ENT consultations
Assess and manage NICU airway cases
Participate in weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend call coverage
Respond to emergency department and established patient consultations
Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams
Document patient encounters using Epic EMR
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care

Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified in Otolaryngology
Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Training strongly preferred
Active Oregon medical license (or actively obtaining licensure)
Active DEA registration
Current BLS certification
Hospital privileging required
Experience managing pediatric airway conditions and complex ENT disorders
Excellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills

Clinic: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Surgical Center
Thursday
8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Call Schedule
Weeknight Beeper Call:
5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Weekend Call:
24-hour call (8:00 AM – 8:00 AM)
Assignment Schedule
Approximately 1 week per month
Guaranteed 8 clinical hours per day
Overtime applies after 9 hours per day
