TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking a Locum Tenens MD/DO Orthopedic Surgeon for a correctional medicine opportunity in Ayer, Massachusetts. This role offers a structured outpatient clinical environment with flexible scheduling and ongoing monthly coverage potential.

Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage orthopedic conditions within an adult correctional medicine population
Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and chronic orthopedic conditions
Perform orthopedic consultations, joint evaluations, and non-operative treatment planning
Review imaging studies and coordinate additional diagnostic evaluations as needed
Provide recommendations for fractures, joint pain, arthritis, sports-related injuries, and degenerative conditions
Coordinate referrals for surgical intervention when appropriate
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements
MD or DO required
Active Massachusetts medical license required/preferred based on facility requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery preferred
Prior orthopedic surgery experience preferred
Ability to work independently in a correctional medicine environment
Require local hospital privileges.
