Tinkbird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a mission-driven, visionary leader to join their growing Pediatric Ophthalmology program in Eastern North Carolina. As one of the only pediatric ophthalmologists for a region spanning 1.5 million people along the eastern seaboard, this opportunity offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on the local community and contribute to the development of a burgeoning academic division
The ideal candidate will have a passion for advancing pediatric ophthalmology care, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to practice development within an academic setting.
As the program moves forward with its application for an ACGME-accredited residency program, the candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of the division. A site visit for the residency program was conducted in January 2025, and the program anticipates welcoming its first class of 3 residents per year in 2026.
