Neurohospitalist Locums - Flexible Availability Welcome in Georgia
Job description
Aya Locums is assisting an established hospital-based Neurology program in Georgia with Neurohospitalist coverage beginning in January 2027.
This is an adult inpatient Neurology assignment with 10-hour shifts and no call. The client’s target is approximately 14 shifts per month, but physicians with less availability are absolutely worth discussing. I am interested in learning what schedule would realistically work for you rather than treating 14 shifts as an all-or-nothing requirement.
The Neurohospitalist will work alongside another physician and two APPs per shift supporting the hospital’s Neurology patients. Epic is used for documentation.
A key part of the clinical scope is EEG interpretation. Physicians must be comfortable reading both diagnostic and continuous EEGs. A fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology or Epilepsy is preferred, but I would not consider fellowship training an automatic requirement for an otherwise qualified neurologist with the appropriate EEG experience.
The client will consider physicians who are IMLC or Compact eligible, and a Letter of Qualification does not need to already be in hand. Aya Locums can assist with the Georgia licensing process for the right physician. Travel, including airfare, lodging and rental transportation or mileage, is covered.
Even if the exact schedule is not what you are looking for, I would still welcome the opportunity to learn what kind of Neurology locums work would make sense for you. My goal is to understand your availability, clinical preferences and what would make an assignment genuinely worthwhile before asking you to filter through opportunities that do not fit.
- 10-hour Neurohospitalist shifts with no call
- Diagnostic and continuous EEG interpretation required
- Any availability considered - IMLC/Compact-eligible neurologists welcome
