Facility:
This is a large 867-bed tertiary care academic medical center located in the heart of downtown Hartford, CT. The facility is a designated Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, NAEC Level 4 Epilepsy Center, and Joint Commission Advanced Spine Center - the first of its kind in the nation. The neurosurgery program is one of the busiest in New England, completing over 2,000 neurosurgical cases annually, supported by 9 neurosurgeons and 20+ neurosurgery physician assistants.

Job Details:
- Join a robust neurosurgery program with a focus on Spine and Complex Spine surgery
- Walk into immediate volume with the ability to further develop and grow the spine program alongside the Medical Director
- The Spine program currently completes 1,200 cases annually with significant growth potential
- Access to subspecialty expertise in Functional (including Deep Brain Stimulation), Epilepsy, Skull Base, Complex Spine, Neurosurgical Oncology, and Vascular/Endovascular surgery
- 5 dedicated Neurosurgery ORs with full OR staffing including a Perioperative Manager
- Access to advanced surgical technology including Mazor X spine robots, Medtronic O-Arm and Stealth Navigation, Zeiss microscopes, and headframes for Stereotactic DBS
- 2 dedicated neuroscience units and a 23-bed Neuroscience ICU with neurocritical care nurses, APPs, and 8 Neurointensivists
- Dedicated Nurse Navigators to support patients through the care pathway
- Level 1 trauma center with air ambulance service (LIFE STAR) transporting patients throughout New England
- Teaching opportunities through Neurosurgery Residency Program in collaboration with UCONN School of Medicine
- Research opportunities in Spine Neurosurgery supported by UCONN's dedicated research department
- Neurosurgery Spine Fellowship training from an accredited program preferred
- Candidate must be Neurosurgery board certified or board eligible
- Must hold a CT license or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Medical Degree from an accredited university required
