Neurology APP opportunity available in CT
Start Date: February 1, 2027
Assignment Length: 6 months
Schedule: 7-on/7-off, Monday-Sunday; 12-hour night shifts only
Additional Details:
Must commit to a 7-on/7-off night schedule
Two full-time providers needed
Average 8-12 patients per day
Inpatient neurology, neurosurgery, and stroke coverage
Responsibilities include rounding, inpatient consults, acute stroke care, pre- and post-operative management, and discharge planning
No OR or procedural support required
Lumbar puncture preferred but not required
Additional procedures may include arterial/venous access, ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement, wound assessment, staple/suture removal, and drain management
Chief resident and attending available for support
Academic hospital setting
EMR: Epic
Hospital bed size: 1,541 beds
Experienced providers preferred
Licensure: Compact providers accepted; assistance available if needed
Requirements: Board certification required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and DEA required
Experience: Two years preferred
Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 120 days; five years of work history must be verified
Licensing: Willing to license compact providers only

- Provide inpatient Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Stroke coverage at a Level I Trauma Center, including daily rounding, hospital-wide consultations, acute stroke management, and pre- and post-operative care.
- Experienced providers preferred, with chief resident and attending support available. Compact licensure is accepted, and ACLS, BLS, DEA, and board certification are required.
