Job Description
A leading healthcare system in Spokane, Washington is seeking a Board-Certified Neurohospitalist to provide inpatient locum tenens coverage from September through December 2026. This opportunity is ideal for neurologists with recent stroke care experience who enjoy managing acute neurological conditions in a collaborative hospital setting.
The physician will provide comprehensive inpatient neurological care, evaluate acute stroke patients, participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning, and utilize Epic EMR for documentation. Providers should be current on extended-window thrombolytic therapy and comfortable working in a high-volume stroke program.
Job Responsibilities
Provide inpatient neurohospitalist coverage during assigned shifts
Evaluate and manage acute stroke and neurological emergencies
Perform neurological consultations for hospitalized patients
Participate in daily patient rounds
Develop and implement treatment plans for neurological disorders
Collaborate with hospitalists, emergency physicians, intensivists, and rehabilitation teams
Document patient care using Epic EMR
Ensure timely, evidence-based neurological care
Maintain accurate and complete medical documentation
Qualifications
MD or DO
Completion of an accredited Neurology Residency
Board Certified in Neurology (Required)
Active Washington medical license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
Active DEA registration
Recent experience managing acute stroke patients
Current knowledge of extended-window thrombolytic therapy
Strong inpatient neurology experience
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

December Coverage (Provider Preference)
Night Shift: December 22 – December 28, 2026 (ending the morning of December 29)
