Locum Hospitalist - Portsmouth, NH | 7 On/7 Off Blocks | Days & Nights | Closed ICU, No Procedures

Job description

Start: November 1, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks (open to extension)
Coverage: Inpatient hospitalist medicine at an acute care hospital
Schedule: 7 on/7 off block schedule; day shifts 7:00-19:00 and night shifts 19:00-7:00 (flexible); 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available; PRN - providers may pick up open shifts throughout the assignment
Call: No call
Volume: 16-20 patient visits per day per physician
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, closed ICU, two dedicated nocturnists on staff
Procedures: None

Admissions, rounding, and management of inpatient medicine census
Closed ICU - no critical care responsibilities
No procedures required
Timely documentation in Meditech

Requirements
Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine
Active New Hampshire license and DEA in hand at time of submission
NPI number required with submission
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Willing to work seven consecutive shifts; preference for candidates open to both days and nights
Not open to local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility

Credentialing timeline: minimum 90 days
Travel and lodging support provided per HealthTrust policy
