PRN Hospitalist Locums - Southern New Hampshire | Days or Nights | No Call | Meditech

Job description

Start: November 1, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks (open to extension)
Coverage: Inpatient hospital medicine, PRN - provider selects from available open shifts
Schedule: Alternating day and night coverage; 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts available. Day shifts 7:00-19:00; night shifts 19:00-7:00 (flexible start/stop). Both days and nights available throughout the assignment; candidates may be submitted for their preferred shift type, though flexibility to work both is preferred.
Call: No call
Volume: Census 50-60; 10-12 daily admissions; rounding on 15-22 patients per day depending on volume and shift; 1-2 consults per day (behavioral health or surgery)
Practice Setting: 120-bed acute care hospital serving an underserved patient population
Procedures: Not required; ED, surgery, and the on-site intensivist assist with procedures. Vent management not required.

Rounding includes an open ICU with intensivist involvement, and the on-site intensivist manages drips and vents. Support staff includes PT, OT, SLP, case management, and respiratory therapy. Trauma is managed by the trauma surgery service, and hospitalists are not typically involved. There are currently no APPs on service and no grand rounds.

Orientation includes one orientation/shadow shift plus a second shadow shift, both 12 hours. Documentation is completed in Meditech.

Requirements
Seasoned hospitalist comfortable handling 18-20+ encounters
Active state license in hand at time of submission
DEA in hand
NPI number required with all submissions
Must be willing to work PRN coverage
Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
Credentialing timeline: minimum 90 days
