Locum Hospitalist - Anchorage, AK | PRN 12-Hour Day & Night Shifts | Epic | Closed ICU, No Procedures

Job description

Start: November 9, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks (ongoing, open to extension)
Coverage: Inpatient adult hospitalist medicine, PRN shift-based
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6:00-18:00 and 18:00-6:00; providers must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends; preference for 7 consecutive shifts, ideally 2 weeks per month
Call: Rotating call as assigned with scheduled shift coverage
Volume: 18-22 patient encounters per provider daily; overall census 90-95
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital, closed ICU with intensivist coverage available
Procedures: None required

Admissions, rounding, and discharges on an adult inpatient service
Coordination with intensivist team for ICU-level patients
Flexibility to cover day and night shifts as blocks open throughout the assignment
Timely documentation in Epic

Requirements
Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine
Active Alaska medical license required at time of submission
NPI number required with submission
Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends

12-hour shifts: 6:00-18:00 / 18:00-6:00
Preference for 7 consecutive shifts, approximately 2 weeks per month
Credentialing timeline: minimum 90 days; temporary privileges may be available for providers with a clean file, subject to approval
Phone interviews conducted by site leadership
