Gastroenterology Physician Opportunity – Endoscopy Focus

Job description

A well-established acute care hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterology Physician to provide locum tenens coverage in a dynamic inpatient setting. This is an excellent opportunity for providers with strong ERCP and EUS experience who are looking for a consistent weekday schedule with no call responsibilities.

Position Highlights
Start Date: August 17, 2026
Contract Length: 6 months, with potential to extend
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Call: None required
Setting: Inpatient Endoscopy / GI Lab within an acute care hospital
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide inpatient gastroenterology services
Perform advanced procedures including ERCP and EUS
Collaborate with a dedicated hospital-based support team, including APPs
Deliver care to adult and geriatric patient populations
Practice Environment
Hospital-based GI/Endoscopy unit
Supportive clinical staff and established workflows
Utilization of Epic EMR system (preferred experience)
Requirements
Board Certification in Gastroenterology
Active state medical license (IMLC accepted)
DEA required
Proven competency in ERCP and EUS procedures
Additional Details
Privileging timeframe: approximately 60–90 days
Ongoing coverage need until a permanent provider is secured
