Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology Des Moines, IA

A hospital-based practice in Iowa is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist for inpatient locum coverage.

Position Details:
Inpatient setting
24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
On-site for 8 hours daily during call
Average census: 10–12 patients per day
APP support available (no supervision required)
EMR: EPIC

Procedures Required:
Colonoscopy
EUS
ERCP
Additional ongoing dates available
Weekend coverage as needed

Requirements:
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Fellowship trained
Active Iowa license or IMLC
Clean malpractice/background history
Must be able to perform EUS & ERCP

This is a great opportunity for experienced GI physicians seeking structured inpatient call coverage with strong clinical support.

• Inpatient Gastroenterology locum – 24-hour call (7a–7a) with 8 hours on-site daily; average census 10–12 patients/day with APP support.
• Required to perform Colonoscopy, EUS & ERCP; Board Certified/Eligible GI with active IA license or IMLC.
• Coverage needed June 12–19 (7a–7a) with additional ongoing dates; hospital-based, weekend coverage as needed.
