Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) — or Physician Assistant (PA) — for a locum tenens Gastroenterology assignment in Toledo, Ohio. This inpatient role is focused on handling hospital GI consultations, daily follow-up visits, and pre-procedure prep within a hospital-based setting.

Schedule & Assignment Details
Position Type: Locum Tenens

Schedule Pattern: 7-On / 7-Off Rotation (Every other week)

Shift Times: Sunday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-Hour Day Shifts)

Weekend Requirements: Required as part of the 7-on / 7-off rotation.

On-Call Requirements: None (First call duties occur during standard shift hours only; no after-hours or night call).

Practice Setting & Clinical Scope
Practice Setting: 100% Inpatient / Hospital-Based

Patient Population: Adult Patients

Daily Patient Volume: 20–25 patients per day

Clinical Duties & Procedures:

Inpatient GI consults and routine follow-up visits.

Pre-procedure evaluations, scheduling support, and patient prep for endoscopy.

EMR System: Epic

Travel & Logistics: Approved reimbursement for lodging and rental car. Temporary privileges are available to expedite onboarding.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
Certification & Licensure
Board Certification [REQUIRED]: Board Certified NP (or PA).

State Licensure [REQUIRED]: Active Ohio APN / PA License.

Life Safety Certification [REQUIRED]: Basic Life Support (BLS).

Experience & Candidate Profile
Clinical Experience [PREFERRED]: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Gastroenterology or hospital-based inpatient care.
