Austin, TX needs Family Medicine/Urgent Care Physicians

Job description

• Walk-In Care
• Targeting Oct-Nov, 2024 start
• 90 day engagement, at least
• Acceptance to start date should be about 3 weeks
• All ages seen
• Will average around 2-4 patients per hour
• 12 hour shifts
• Spanish speak provider preferred
• EMR is Epic. Previous experience a plus. Dragon dictation available
• Most patients are Medicaid/Medicare
• No new grads accepted. Must have at least 2-3 years experience
• Prefer candidates that have FQHC experience
• Clinic is open 7 days a week. 7a-8p
• 7a-7a or 8a-8p
• Strongly prefer candidates who can work 3 12-hour shifts
• Will not be working more than 80 hours over 2 week pay period
• No call
• Must be willing to work at least 3 shifts per week to be considered.
• Acute care services with some primary care. Think somewhere between primary care and urgent care
• Cough, cold or sore throat, Fever or flu symptoms, vomiting, Ear infection, Cuts, bumps and sprains, Twisted or sprained ankle, General wound care, Minor skin rash, Mild asthma, Basic laboratory testing, Minor procedures to include toenail removal, Urinary tract infections
• Travel and lodging can be provided but they prefer local candidates
