Job description

Emergency Medicine locum opportunity in Salinas, CA available. This is a high-acuity ED role with consistent monthly coverage needs.

Schedule:
• Start: July 2026
• Ongoing coverage
• 8–12 shifts per month
• 10-hour shifts (7:00am – 5:00pm)
• No call

Practice:
• Regional tertiary care hospital (~65,000 annual visits)
• High-acuity ED with strong subspecialty backup
• Physicians work in main ER (APPs support fast track)
• Single coverage overnight with team overlap during the day
• ~2 patients/hour
• STEMI and stroke receiving center

Requirements:
• ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician
• Active CA license (licensing not available)
• Must have clean background
• Comfortable with pediatrics and critical care

Credentialing:
• Standard timeframe
