Cardiology Locums in Greensboro, NC | Nights & Weekends | 2nd Call | Consults & E&M Only | Locals Only

Job description

Start: November 16, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 52 weeks
Coverage: Night coverage acting as 2nd call; scheduled shifts with no additional call
Schedule: Minimum 1 week per month plus 1 weekend per month as needed - shifts do not need to be consecutive

Monday-Thursday: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM (10 hours)
Friday: 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM (11 hours)
Saturday: 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM (14 hours)
Sunday: 5:00 PM - 6:00 AM (13 hours)
Call: No separate call - provider serves as 2nd call during scheduled shifts
Patient Population: Adults
Practice Setting: Acute care hospital (Adult Trauma Level II/III/IV)
Procedures: None - E&M services only; temporary pacemakers are covered by the EP on call

Inpatient cardiology consults upon request
E&M services for patients admitted to the cardiology service
Interpret echo and nuclear studies performed in the hospital
Maintain a manual log of all charges
Documentation in Epic
Pager provided by the department

Requirements
Board Certified in Cardiology
North Carolina license and DEA required (not open to licensure - locals only)
ACLS and BLS required
Epic charting experience required
1-2 years minimum experience
Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
