General Cardiologist - Flexible Inpatient Blocks in Indiana

Job description

Aya Locums is partnering with a hospital-based cardiology service seeking a General Cardiologist for recurring inpatient coverage beginning as soon as credentialing is complete.

The schedule is built around 7-day stretches, including weekends, with approximately 1 - 2 weeks of coverage needed each month. Typical hours are around 7:00 or 7:30 AM through 4:30 or 5:00 PM.

This is straightforward inpatient General Cardiology focused on rounding and management of bread-and-butter cardiology patients. Average volume is approximately 18 - 20 patients per day, and there are no procedural or call responsibilities associated with the assignment.

The cardiologist will work alongside two Cardiac Hospitalists already supporting the service. Epic experience is preferred, although training can be provided.

The client is seeking a Board Certified Cardiologist with an active Indiana medical license. An Indiana DEA and CSR will also be needed for the assignment.

This is PRN coverage, so I am particularly interested in cardiologists who enjoy recurring blocks without needing a full-time locum schedule.
