Physician - Cardiology
Job Details:
- Full-time Medical Director opportunity leading the Inherited Cardiovascular Disease Program (ICDP)
- Board certified/board eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine with experience in Inherited Cardiovascular Disease required
- Provide clinical care to patients with inherited cardiomyopathies, inherited arrhythmia syndromes, neuromuscular disease-related cardiomyopathy, and aortopathies/connective tissue diseases involving the aorta
- Proficiency required in nuclear, exercise and pharmacological stress testing, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, and carotid ultrasound studies
- In-patient and outpatient roles across the Hartford Region, including a major hospital and satellite offices
- Oversight of the Inherited Cardiovascular Disease program across the full health system
- Provide consultative and follow-up care to adult cardiovascular patients
- Work alongside a dedicated cardiac genetic counselor to continue developing the Inherited Cardiovascular Disease program
- Extensive clinical research opportunities available; research experience is required
- Doctor of Medicine required; 1-2 years of experience preferred
