General Cardiology Locums in Northern Arizona | Block Scheduling | No Call | Cath for Own Patients

Job description

Start: September 21, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks (ongoing coverage, open to extension)
Coverage: Scheduled blocks - no call
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00-17:00 with 1-hour unpaid lunch; overtime available after scheduled shift
Scheduled Blocks: September 21-25 | October 5-9 | October 19-23 | November 2-6 | November 23-25 | December 7-11 | December 28-29; plus a weekend block October 2-4 (Friday 5:30 PM - Monday 7:00 AM)
Call: No call
Volume: Clinic 18-24 patients/day; average daily census 16-20
Practice Setting: Hospital and outpatient clinic (87-bed acute care hospital, Adult Level IV trauma)
Support Staff: 2-physician group with MA, PCT, nurse, and PA support for in-house coverage
Patient Population: Primarily 60+
Procedures: Cath performed on your own patients
EMR: Cerner (approx. 4 hours of remote training scheduled the week prior to start)

General cardiology outpatient evaluations and follow-up
Inpatient coverage and consults
Cath lab procedures for your own patient panel
Timely documentation in Cerner

Requirements
Board Certified in Cardiology
Arizona license or IMLC LOQ required (open to licensure)
ACLS and BLS
Minimum 2 years of experience
COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)

Credentialing: approximately 30 days
Interview Process: Teams/Zoom

Travel and lodging covered per program guidelines - economy airfare, lodging, rental car, and standard travel expenses reimbursed.
