SPECIALTY: Cardiology – Nurse Practitioner (NP)

LOCATION: Mechanicsville, Virginia

ASSIGNMENT TYPE: Locum Tenens

SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM

CALL: Weeknight and weekend phone/beeper call

CALL RATIO: 1:3 to 1:4

ESTIMATED CALL-BACK: Approximately 2 hours

PRACTICE SETTING: Inpatient / Hospital-Based

PATIENT POPULATION: Adults and Geriatric

EMR: Epic

POSITION OVERVIEW

Seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient cardiology coverage. The provider will work independently alongside an Interventional Cardiologist and manage inpatient cardiology patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate and manage new inpatient cardiology patients
Conduct follow-up visits and daily rounding
Complete clinical documentation
Assist with discharge planning
Coordinate patient care with the cardiology team
Provide weeknight and weekend phone/beeper call coverage
Manage approximately 10–15+ patients per day, depending on volume


REQUIREMENTS
Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
Active Virginia NP license required
ACLS required
BLS required
DEA required
Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience
Inpatient cardiology experience preferred
Must be comfortable working independently
Clean background with no malpractice or license issues
No exceptions for malpractice or licensing concerns
