Locum Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Virginia

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologists to provide coverage in Virginia. Provider will mainly be at one hospital location, with the possibility of occassional coverage at a sister hopsital nearby.

Assignment Details
-Preference for providers with consistent availability who are open to regular scheduling, including weekends and night shifts
-Providers must be comfortable covering obstetrics when needed
-In-house call opportunities may be available for interested candidates

Anesthesia coverage includes:
Main Operating Rooms (16 ORs)
Endoscopy
Interventional Radiology
Gamma Knife
MRI
CT
Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery, including two dedicated C-section operating rooms

Practice Model
-Care team model of approximately 1:4
-Physicians perform their own cases approximately 40% of the time

EMR: Medaxion (iPad-based electronic medical record)

Requirements
-Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist
-Ability to provide OB anesthesia coverage when needed
-Virginia medical license
-Interest in a consistent schedule with flexibility for weekends, nights, and potential in-house call is preferred
