Job description

A hospital system in Lynchburg, Virginia is seeking 1 Board-Certified Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) for ongoing coverage beginning May 2026 (start date dependent on credentialing).

This is a weekday-only opportunity with flexible shifts and no call responsibilities.

$350/hour

Assignment Details
Target Start: May 2026 (after credentialing)
Length: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday–Friday
8, 10, or 12-hour shifts available
No call
No nights
5–7 cases per day

Practice Setting
Hospital-based practice
Coverage at two affiliated hospitals within the same health system
Collaborative team including 18 CRNAs
EMR: Cerner

Some Pediatrics & OB
Patient Population:
10% Pediatrics
45% Adults
45% Geriatrics

Requirements
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
ACLS & PALS required
Active Virginia license
Clean background and ability to complete 90-day credentialing

Credentialing
Approximately 90 days
