Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Diverse Case Mix | No Call | Flexible Scheduling

Job description

A large, well-supported hospital system is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This opportunity offers a broad case mix, a collaborative care team, and a consistent schedule with no call requirements.

Position Overview
Start Date: May 2026
Assignment Length: Ongoing
Schedule: 4–5 shifts per week (flexible options available, including partial-month coverage)
Shift type: Day shifts (primarily 10-hour shifts)
No call required

Practice Setting
Hospital-based practice
High-acuity, team-oriented environment
Work alongside surgeons and multidisciplinary specialists
Exposure to patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics

Case Mix & Responsibilities
This role offers a wide variety of cases across multiple specialties, including:
Trauma
Neuro and spine
Cardiac, thoracic, and vascular
OB/GYN
Pediatrics
Orthopedics
GI and general surgery
Plastics and robotics
Non-operating room anesthesia (NORA)

Skills Required:
General anesthesia (GETA)
Monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
Regional and spinal anesthesia
Ultrasound-guided techniques

Technology & Facility
Electronic Medical Record: Epic
Large, full-service hospital with advanced surgical capabilities and high patient volume

Work Details
Full-time coverage preferred, with flexibility for providers able to commit to at least one week per month
Patient volume varies based on procedural assignments
Broad exposure within a busy and well-supported anesthesia department

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
Active state license or willingness to obtain
ACLS and PALS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred

Credentialing
Standard credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days
Expedited privileges may be available for candidates with a clean file and leadership approval
