About the clinician's workday

This position includes both inpatient and outpatient coverage with a Monday-to-Monday schedule. Call duties are shared, including daily call and epidural call with three CRNAs, and providers must be able to start surgery within 30 minutes of being called back. The facility handles approximately 150 surgical cases and 100 endoscopy procedures per month, with anesthesiologists managing 12-15 patients per day and averaging 8 admissions during the day and 6 at night. Responsibilities include backup support in the ER and ICU, assisting with difficult intubations and spinals. The facility features two main operating rooms, an Endo suite with three rooms, and a dedicated C-section OR. Procedures include general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, pain management, OB/GYN, and pediatric dental cases. This 114-bed hospital has a 15-bed Emergency Department handling 21,000 patients annually and operates on a 24-hour rotational shift schedule using Epic EMR.
