A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.

About the facility location

While on assignment in Brooklyn, New York you have to check out the Brooklyn Bridge and Coney Island as your initiation into the city! There are plenty of shops filled with food and fun beverages in the city as well!

About the clinician's workday

The shifts are primarily from 7 AM to 5 PM, with occasional shifts from 9 AM to 7 PM. The types of cases include general surgery, plastics, neuro, orthopedics, gynecology, vascular, light obstetrics, and healthy pediatrics. Supervision is required for 70% of the time, and the clinician may work with dental anesthesia residents and medical students. Overtime is possible, and overnight calls are rare. The facility has 7 ORs, 2 endoscopy rooms, labor and delivery, and interventional radiology. Charting is done using IPro Core and Allscripts EMR, with a privileging process that takes 2-3 months. It is a 350-bed teaching facility with a wide variety of cases, including orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, neuro, vascular, and thoracic procedures.
