Anesthesiologist (Full-Time – Out-of-State Candidates Only | Ongoing Assignment)

Description:
Full-time Anesthesiologist locum tenens opportunity for out-of-state candidates only. Provider must be available every week of the month with a required start date of June 1. This is a high-volume, multispecialty anesthesia role with required beeper call coverage. Strict credentialing, licensing, and background requirements apply, including mandatory clinical leadership interview.

About the facility:
High-volume, non-teaching medical center operating under a care team model with approximately 26 CRNAs and 12 MDs (80/20 supervision). Annual volume includes ~1,150–1,200 cases per month and ~200 OB deliveries. Case mix includes general surgery, ortho, GI, robotics, OB, neuro, ENT, plastics, radiology, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and more. No trauma cases; dedicated cardiac team manages hearts. EMR: Epic. Providers receive catered meals daily.

Compensation:
• Pay Rate: $400/Hr. - Details can be discussed further after applying to the job posting.

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide anesthesia services across multiple specialties (no trauma; cardiac excluded)
• Supervise CRNAs within an 80/20 care team model
• Manage high-volume surgical caseload (general surgery, ortho, GI, robotics primarily)
• Participate in required beeper call (weeknight and weekend coverage)
• Ensure safe anesthesia delivery in accordance with hospital protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
• Complete required credentialing documentation, including case logs
• Participate in clinical interview with leadership

Qualifications:
• Board Certified Anesthesiologist
• Active Florida license (or proof of application for compact license upon approval)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• 100% clean background (no clinical, legal, or pending issues)
• Must provide 24 months of case logs within 5 days of credentialing approval
• Must hold an out-of-state driver’s license (required at presentation)
• Must reside outside Florida
• No prior work at this site or affiliated sites within 24 months
• Maximum of 10 affiliations
• Must provide availability and contact details with submission
• Must be able to start by June 1

Working Hours:
• Monday–Friday: 5x8s or 5x10s (7a–3p or 7a–5p)
• Full-time requirement: minimum 4 weeks/month (no PRN coverage)
• Weeknight call: 7p–7a, one week/month (beeper call)
• Weekend call: 24-hour beeper (Saturday & Sunday), one weekend/month
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 120 days (no rush available)
