LOCUM ANESTHESIOLOGIST

JOB SLUMMARY

Seeking a qualified Anesthesiologist for a full-time locum tenens assignment starting November 2, 2026. This is a busy Level II Trauma Center with a high volume of obstetric (OB) cases. Previous OB anesthesia experience is highly preferred.

SCHEDULE

✔ Start Date: November 2, 2026
✔ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
✔ Full-time coverage required every week
✔ Potential for weekday call
✔ Assignment Duration: 6–9 months

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

✔ Provide anesthesia services for general and obstetric cases.
✔ Supervise CRNAs, including those supporting cardiac and vascular services as applicable.
✔ Perform epidural placements.
✔ Oversee general and OB anesthesia cases.
✔ Provide supervision in a medically directed anesthesia model.
✔ Provide care for adult and pediatric patients as required.

✔ EMR: EPIC
✔ Support Staff: CRNA and physician anesthesia teams
✔ Supervision Model: Approximately 1 anesthesiologist to 4–5 CRNAs
✔ Practice Volume: Busy practice with multiple sites of service

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

✔ Anesthesiologist with an active Arkansas medical license.
✔ Board Eligible required; Board Certified highly preferred.
✔ Active DEA registration.
✔ Ability to supervise CRNAs and manage general and OB anesthesia cases.
✔ Ability to perform epidurals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

✔ Previous obstetric anesthesia experience.
✔ Board certification in anesthesiology.
✔ Clean malpractice history.

CREDENTIALING

✔ Estimated credentialing timeframe: 2–3 weeks after submission of a completed application.
✔ Credentialing with other facilities is not required for this assignment.

✔ Preferred lodging: Hotels.
✔ Local providers are preferred, but non-local candidates will be considered.
