Job description
Position: Locum Tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Location: 1 hr. South of Edinburg, TX
Setting: Hospital/ASC (8 ORs; Level III trauma)
Start: ASAP – Ongoing
Openings: 2
Schedule
Primary schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour guarantee)
Minimum commitment: 5 shifts/week
Call: No weekend call
Additional schedule note: Approximately every 2–3 weeks, provider will work an 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM shift
Practice Details / Case Mix
Typical/required cases: Dental, circumcision, hernia, general surgery
Additional exposure: Some heads, hearts, and OB
Average volume: Weekdays ~12–35 cases/day (weekends listed as ~2–6)
Supervision model: Medically directed
Team model: Approximately 4–6 MDs and 10 CRNAs
Patient ages: All ages
EMR: Epic (training available; recent Epic experience not required)
Requirements (Must-Haves)
Active Texas (TX) license
Minimum experience: 2+ years
Certifications: ALS, BLS, ACLS, PALS
Board status: Board Certified
Soft requirements called out by client: Comfortable with pediatrics!
