Locum Opportunity – Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
We are seeking experienced CRNAs for a 13-week locum assignment in a hospital-based float pool setting.
This is a full-time opportunity with a structured schedule and no call responsibilities.
Position Highlights
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Options: 5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s
Must be available to work all 4 weeks per month (no part-time availability)
No Call Required
Practice Setting
Hospital medical center and affiliated ambulatory surgery centers
Float pool role with rotation to one of three ASCs (Lexington, Irmo, Northeast Columbia area)
Travel to surgery center up to once weekly (occasionally twice)
If cases finish early at ASC, may return to main hospital to complete shift
Clinical Details
Care team model with anesthesiologists and CRNAs
Approximately 150 anesthetics per day across:
Main OR (25 active daily out of 31)
9 non-OR anesthesia sites (IR, Cath Lab, EP, MRI, OB, Endoscopy, etc.)
3 ambulatory surgery centers
Adult to geriatric population (limited pediatrics; travelers not assigned pediatric cases)
Case types include general surgery, GYN, orthopedics, urology, and vascular
No regional/block skills required
EMR: Epic (preferred)
Equipment: Glidescopes, Alaris IV pumps, Draeger anesthesia machines
Anesthesia tech support available
Requirements
Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA)
Active South Carolina license or Compact license (willing to license)
DEA required
ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
Minimum 2–3 years of experience preferred
- Full-time CRNA locum opportunity – 13-week assignment, 40 hours/week, no call, flexible shift options (5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s).
- Hospital & ASC float role – Rotate between main OR and ambulatory surgery centers; care team model with strong anesthesia support.
- Adult-focused cases – General, GYN, ortho, urology & vascular; Epic EMR; no regional/block skills required.
