Anesthesiology
Shift Details: 10-hours shfits
Schedule: March dates: 3-6; 10-17- ongoing dates as well
Work Details:
Average call volume: Low volume – 1 to 2 days per week / 1 weekend
Average number of cases per day that the locum CRNA will be performing: 3-5 cases
Number of MDs/CRNAs currently in the practice: 2 MD’s/3CRNA’s
Are there Anesthesia Assistants at Huntingdon: No
Is the CRNA medically director or Medically Supervised: Always have an Anesthesiologist MD on during cases
How many ORs/Endo Suites: 3 OR’s and 1 Endo
Will the CRNA be responsible for any trauma cases, hearts, heads, peds, or OB:
No trauma, hearts, heads or OB. Peds for some ENT cases.
Who performs regionals: Typically the MD.
• Skills required: General, ENT, GYN, OB, plastics, endo, urology, ortho, vascular, cardiothoracic, and neuro. Vascular, neuro and thoracic is PREFERRED, OB is optional.
Practice Setting:
• Hospital – Level II Trauma
Requirements:
• Board Certification: Yes, CRNA
• State license required: Yes, State of PA
• DEA: Yes
• CSR: No
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Minimum experience required: 2 years.
Credentialing Timeframe: 3 – 4 weeks.
