Primary Care Provider Need | South Carolina

Job description

Here is what we are looking for:

Our most urgent needs are in the Sumter, Aiken, North Augusta, Myrtle Beach, Conway, and Greenwood areas.
The credentialing process is currently expected to take approximately 4 weeks, although we may be able to expedite this and get providers credentialed sooner.
Our Credentialing team has confirmed that we can utilize APPs as locums in South Carolina, so please feel free to send both APP and Physician candidates. I have not previously used APPs as locums, so I’d also be interested in your guidance on the typical market rates for APP locums.
The Novant centers currently have varying hours depending on location. However, providers should be prepared for the centers to eventually operate 7 days per week, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM.
Our FT providers typically work three 12-hour shifts per week, with flexibility around which days they work. We strongly prefer FT candidates, but we would also consider PT providers working 24 hours per week.


Candidate Requirements

All Providers

Active state license and DEA
MUST have experience performing procedures, including suturing/laceration repair, I&D, foreign body removal, splinting, etc.
Must be comfortable and willing to see patients of all ages
Expected patient volume of approximately 30–45 patients per day
Physicians

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
APPs

Prefer candidates with Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care experience
May consider other backgrounds if the candidate has strong procedural experience
No new graduates
