This medical center is a well-established community hospital serving the southern New Mexico region, offering comprehensive women's health services supported by a strong team of clinical professionals. The facility features a Family Medicine residency program with FM-OB trained attendings, three APPs in clinic, and CNM support throughout the week, creating a collaborative and well-resourced environment for obstetric and gynecologic care.

Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
- Locum Tenens coverage needed for 7-10 days per month on an ongoing basis beginning December 1, 2026
- Clinic schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 20-25 patient encounters per shift
- Coverage required for clinic, call, and elective OR days
- Primary call coverage during evenings and weekends with FM-OB attendings providing daytime backup support Monday through Friday
- CNM support available throughout the week
- New Mexico licensure preferred
- Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days
- Nearest airport is El Paso International Airport
- Lodging options include Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard by Marriott at NMSU, Home2Suites, and Townplace Suites
- Required clinical skills include low and high risk pregnancy management
- FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE required
- OB Ultrasounds - performance and interpretation required, including Level I/Screening (viability)
- Routine and complicated deliveries required, including vaginal, low forceps, and decision-making for c-sections
- C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBAC management required
- Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
- Surgical gynecology required, including open procedures, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures, and operative/major procedures such as ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
