Internal Medicine Locums Near Lancaster, CA | Outpatient Clinic | M-F Days, No Call | 13 Weeks

Job description

Start: September 21, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
Coverage: Outpatient adult internal medicine clinic
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00-17:00 (5x8s); slight flexibility available - 7a-4p, 8a-5p, or 9a-6p
Call: No call
Volume: 23-25 patients/day (approx. 3 patients/hour) with 30 minutes of admin time
Practice Setting: Community health center - outpatient clinic
Patient Population: Adults
Support Staff: MAs and LVNs; each provider is paired with an MA, with LVN backup as needed
EMR: Epic

Full-time outpatient internal medicine coverage
Adult primary care evaluations, management, and follow-up
Dedicated clinical support staff for every provider
Timely documentation in Epic
Orientation is billed at 50%

Requirements
Board Certified in Internal Medicine (BC required - board eligible not accepted)
Active California license and California DEA required (no licensing assistance offered)
BLS certification required
New graduates will be considered if board certified; 2+ years of experience preferred
Credentialing timeframe: 30-45 days
Typically a 2-step interview process
