Qualifications

Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Required

• Master’s degree or higher in Nursing
• At least 1 year of experience in primary care
• At least 1 year of experience in care management
• At least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following:
o Correctional care
o Correctional medicine
• Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
• Current license/certification as one of the following:
o Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
o Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)
o Nurse Practitioner (NP)
• Current certification in one or more of the following:
o American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
o American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
o American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)

Position Overview

This role provides an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive primary care to incarcerated individuals in a structured clinical environment. The provider will evaluate and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, manage ongoing care, collaborate with healthcare and facility staff, and support high-quality patient outcomes within a correctional healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Provide sick-call coverage and same-day medical evaluations
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
• Educate patients on medications, disease management, preventive healthcare, and healthy lifestyle practices
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff to coordinate and deliver quality patient care
• Follow applicable clinical, safety, regulatory, and correctional healthcare standards
Schedule and Shift Details

• Four-day work week
• Day shift
• No weekends
• Standard holiday schedule

Travel

• Travel stipends are available for providers traveling more than 50 miles from their primary residence
