Facility:
This community-based hospital supports a hospital-owned OB/GYN practice delivering full-spectrum women's health care in a collaborative, physician-respected environment. The facility features a 7-bed birth center with onsite lab and ultrasound capabilities, a 10-room clinic, and a supportive team including CNMs, medical assistants, and triage nursing staff.

Job Details:
- Full-time locums MD OB/GYN coverage beginning August 15th, 2026, with varying schedule needs
- Clinic/call practice setting with 12-hour shifts (8a-8p or 8p-8a)
- Average of 14-16 scheduled patients per day in clinic with 10 exam rooms available
- Practice mix includes 50% low risk and 50% high risk obstetrics, and 60% gynecology
- Approximately 25% of patients are C-section cases
- Average of 3-5 gynecological surgeries per week
- May split call shifts with other providers; 4 CNMs often take primary call
- Obstetrics responsibilities include low risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), and OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I/Screening)
- Labor and delivery responsibilities include routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps, decision-making for C-sections, complicated deliveries (C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions), VBACs, and repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
- Gynecology responsibilities include office/minor gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP), open surgical gynecology, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOAs, chromal tubation), and operative/major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)
- Onsite lab and ultrasound available; hospital ultrasound available Monday-Friday 8a-4p
- EMR system: Cerner Community Works
- Active Vermont license or IMLC (including VT) required; IMLC candidates welcome
- Board certification in OB/GYN required; completion of accredited OB/GYN residency (U.S. or Canada) required
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days, active) required at time of presentation
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days
- Travel reimbursement available including flight, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rate; hotel accommodations arranged through the organization at discounted rates
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
