Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Infectious Disease

Job Details:

• Telemedicine/inpatient locum tenens coverage across various Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH) sites, with California as the primary state and Oregon and Washington as secondary
• Coverage dates: September 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026
• Shift hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM PST with 8 guaranteed hours per day
• Provider minimum of 5-7 shifts required per month as gap coverage
• Expected patient encounters per shift: 10-12
• Active California license required to bid; preference given to candidates also holding active WA and OR licenses with active DEAs in all applicable states
• Board certification required (BC only); active DEA required
• Provider must have a clean file including a clean NPDB, clean malpractice history (dismissed and dropped cases included), and a clean background check
• All necessary equipment will be mailed to the provider; onboarding is estimated at 1-2 weeks
• Ideal candidate has experience with telemedicine technology and is comfortable working in a virtual environment
• Additional facility coverage includes St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka, CA as well as multiple Oregon and Washington locations
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days
• Availability for a phone interview with the medical director should be included in the provider presentation
