General Dentist (Northern California)

Job description

We are seeking three General Dentists (DDS or DMD) to join a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Northern California, north of Fortuna along HWY 101. This locum opportunity offers a flexible schedule and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide general dentistry services to both adults and children (50/50 mix).
Manage a patient load of 9 patients per four-hour clinic.
Ensure charts are closed on the day of the visit using EPIC EMR (support provided; Dragon Dictation available).
Collaborate with a dedicated support team, including:
2 Registered Dental Assistants (RDAs) per provider.
1 Dental Assistant (DA) per provider.
1 full-time hygienist per clinic.
Position Details:

Start Date: ASAP.
End Date: 12/27/24, with the potential to extend after a minimum 3-month commitment.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (36 hours/week patient care + 4 hours administrative time).
Call: None required.
Credentialing Timeline: 30-45 days for clean files.
Travel/Lodging: Expenses covered; on-site lodging may be available depending on location.
Requirements:

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible.
Active CA License, BLS, and DEA certification.
COVID vaccine: Primary series plus booster or one dose of the current 2023/2024 formulation.
